Also dont forget a free turn from attacking enemies in the overworld first as that can give you some wiggle room when it comes to nuking an enemy or two before they get a turn. Abusing the yellow ancient crystals for a free heal and save is super handy to save on time and money overall allowing you to use your strongest moves freely while grinding. Grinding to level up, farm for berries, do quests, and stock up on good items, and then making a bee line for the chapter objective with as few fights as possible to save up on TP. You can honestly avoid almost every fight in general and it might prove to be a slower but easier time to split chapters up into two phases. Getting 500 berries in the bank to increase your returns from 2% to 4% is also really handy for passively saving up berries for when you need them. Currently doing a RUIGEE run with HARDEST on and honestly bombs end up becoming a main stay in my item bag as opposed to mostly TP items when it comes to a normal run with the hard mode badge. Bombs already do a decent chunk of damage and giving them effects can prove to be helpful. Items can be a pretty huge boon if you prepare before big fights and do your best to avoid most other fights on the way to bosses. I think chapter 3 opens up a lot of utility for players since it gives you access to charms from defiant root, I believe you can reach enough discoveries for victory buzz (+4 tp at the end of a battle) which helps a lot of grinding, the amazing crisbee donut, and of course preparing for chompy in chapter 4 who honestly is a pretty good extra bit of damage. Although there is a way to change level ups later on so its not entirely set in stone. TP and HP are definitely nice early on, especially with the lack of medal diversity until like chapter 3 or 4, but a lot of your levels will eventually just be MP. You can reinvest those points elsewhere depending on situations. Personally I found MP to be a better investment overall for levels since two of those is basically equal to two levels in health since 6 mp is worth 3 HP plus medals. There isn't much in the way of wiggle room especially when you use hardmode since even +1 damage for the enemies can be a pretty big increase relative to your health pools. The game is definitely challenging due to the core gameplay dealing in primarily low numbers.
